  • Abstract
The Weapon System Management Information System (WSMIS) is described as satisfying a primary logistics management objective-to assess the status of weapon systems against meaningful mission-related operational criteria. To accomplish this, WSMIS assesses each weapon system´s readiness and sustainability; identifies those items and resources which limit the weapon system´s achievement of specified readiness and sustainability objectives; and develops and monitors get-well plans to reduce the negative effect that these items and resources have on a weapon system´s combat capability. The broad range of WSMIS logistics analysis capabilities, the user community and their particular logistics analysis requirements, the WSMIS development philosophy, the information generation tools and procedures, and planned enhancements are outlined
