Title :
Spiral-Interleaved New Explicit Flexible MacroBlock Ordering Type
Author :
Katz, B. ; Greenberg, S.
Abstract :
This paper presents a new flexible macroblock ordering (FMO) type for error-resilient transmission of compressed video over wireless packet loss networks. The proposed FMO type outperforms all other types supported by the H.264 standard in terms of both PSNR and Scatter criterion, a criterion that evaluates the extent of error scattering within the frame.
