Abstract :
This paper presents a real-time bus monitor and debugger for embedded systems. It monitors the system bus when the system is running in full speed. When a preset sample pointer or break pointer is matched, it can save the bus operation information or stop the program for test. Figure.1 shows the whole structure of the bus monitor and debugger, Figure.2 ~ Figure.4 shows the structures of Data Sample Module, Debug Control Module and Data Upload Module respectively. Finally, the real-time bus monitor and debugger for an embedded system with TI C50 DSP is implemented.
