Abstract
The use of Resonant Tunneling Diodes (RTD) for defuzzification applications is described. The proposed circuit uses the unique multiple peak folding V-I characteristic of an RTD to produce the output membership function. The center of gravity method is used for calculating the crisp output. Conductance multiplier with feedback circuitry forms the centroid circuit. The proposed scheme reduces circuit complexity compared with the conventional digital microprocessor and analog signal processing circuits
