Abstract :
Multi-threaded programming is the main means to make multi-core computer fully play to its potentials. This paper presents a complete solution of solving large dense linear equations with multi-core parallel computation based on Intel® Threading Building Blocks(TBB). The performance of our scheme is discussed in comparison with that of the sequential program running on the same computer. Numerical experimental results clearly show that it generally has a bit additional overhead, acceleration by parallel computing is significant to save the total execution time. It can achieve the speedup of 3.07 on a quad-core computer.
