Research on Product Manufacturing Cost Estimation Based on Materials Information Extracting from Parts List of Drawings

This paper analyzes the method and techniques of extracting material information from engineer drawings and establishing product structure. In order to deal with the materials which don´t have material code in the drawing, we build a statistics model based on materials being collected. We can gather the material list by making a medium template, and then integrate the CAD and ERP system with the information of the material list. A practical example is also introduced to describe the Manufacturing cost estimation with the obtained information of material lists.
