Abstract
This paper presents an efficient approach to the design and development of multi-layer microstrip patch antenna sub-arrays for possible applications in wireless communications systems. The approach is based on the use of a combination of software packages, which are separately applied to the design of antenna elements and feed network. This approach is demonstrated in the design example of 2×2 element and 4×4 element X-band sub-arrays
