Abstract :
In this paper, we develop an optimal design for a multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) nonregenerative relay system. This system is equipped with multiple source points, one relay point and multiple destination points. Each node in the system is equipped with multiple antennas. The purpose of this study is to develop fast algorithms to compute the source precoding matrix and the relay amplifying matrix to optimize a system performance. We proposed a two-step algorithm to optimize system performance. First we use zero forcing QR decomposition to construct the source precoding matrix for eliminating the multi-user interference. Second SVD decomposition and water-filling method are used to get the optimal relay amplifying matrix. The simulation results show that the proposed source and relay design algorithms can improve system perform.
