  • Abstract
In this paper the author presents an improvement to the previously proposed design technique for 2-channel, causal stable IIR perfect reconstruction filter banks. The technique is based on transformations of variables. Previously, the transformation functions used were all-pass but this yielded subband filters with fairly large overshoot in its frequency response. By relaxing the requirement of using all-pass transformation functions, filters with improved response (lower and no overshoot) are achievable
