  • Abstract
In recent years international trade has developed rapidly, while international trade is mostly done through the container transport. Therefore, the global container transportation is also developing rapidly, but this has brought unprecedented opportunities and challenges to the container terminal logistics industry. To face the growing terminals container throughput, the problem is how to improve the operational efficiency of container terminal, and maximize the rate of its operational capacity. Because of land scarcity in container terminals, the yard utilization in many container terminals is already in the edge of warning line. In this paper first establishing the simulation model of container terminal based on eM-Plant, and analysis the influences of time demurrage of container terminal on yard utilization(denoted as YU), then analyzing the data obtained from the simulation. Getting the optimum solution, and then provide support for decision-makers.
