Abstract :
"Face" culture is one perspective of analyzing Chinese management environment from four aspects, including the essence, its running mechanism, intrinsic motivation, and functional effects. First, leaders have to be good at "Impression Management", choose the leading style and control strategies that are good for benign interaction; Second, It is necessary to have "roundabout way", with which they can turn disadvantage into advantage, and crisis into opportunity; Third, they must learn how to "give people what they want", and implement emotional management, career management, and democratic management; Fourth, they should maintain flexibility in the use of "face" to integrate and encourage the organization, and take measures to guard against the "Machivellianism" (mianzi kungfu) of the organizations.
