Abstract
Reviews the status of the study performed by Alenia Spazio SpA. Under ESA contract for the implementation of a rain mode in the RA-2 radar altimeter, of which Alenia Spazio is also the instrument prime contractor, due to fly on the ENVISAT polar platform at the end of this century
