  • Abstract
    By using cycle shift method, a novel architecture of optical access network is proposed. It can not only achieve the carrier tri-reuse but also provide protection for distribution fibers. By taking cycle service mode, one carrier can respectively provide services for three different optical network units at the same time. And, by utilizing the cycle characteristic of 2*N Arrayed Waveguide Grating in the remote node, it can provide an automatic recovery from distribution fiber failure. Simulation and analysis show the proposed scheme achieves over functions.
