Abstract :
For an SCPC/FDMA digital mobile radio system, a channel structure supporting ISDN services is described. Three kinds of radio channels are proposed offering ISDN services with efficient spectrum utilization. They are: an information channel, control channel, and packet channel. The effects of diversity and FEC (forward error correction) are discussed for the improvement of digital transmission quality and frequency spectrum utilization. Some studies are presented regarding quality objectives for bearer services under multipath fading environments
