Abstract :
This paper introduces a new method to evaluate seam pucker based on wavelet analysis. Images of standard samples are processed by 2-D discrete wavelet transform. Then detail factors in high frequency are extracted to be regarded as characterized parameters. Optimal analytical dimension and optimal wavelet are determined by evaluating factor (EK) defined in this paper. Accordingly, evaluation of seam pucker can be realized. This method is good to objectively and accurately evaluate the seam pucker and remedy the limitation of subjective evaluation, so it is valuable to be extended.
