Abstract :
Non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS) curve is an important mathematical tool in expressing the shapes of industry products. The wavelet decomposition and reconstruction of NURBS curves is an important part in the curves modeling. Wavelet decomposition and reconstruction of NURBS curves by using the semi-orthogonal B-spline wavelets and double-orthogonal B-spline wavelets are researched in this paper. The multi-resolution editing of integral order NURBS curves is given. And the multi-resolution decomposition algorithm of NURBS of arbitrary order and non-integral order NURBS curves is proposed.
