Abstract
The existing software for power system design is preliminary desktop application, and is usually lumped together in a single package. In this paper a Web-based and platform-independent simulation software is designed and implemented for micro power systems. The software supports basic calculation methods, i.e. AC-DC load flow calculation and short circuit calculation, which are necessary for selecting electrical equipments and designing micro hybrid systems with solar photovoltaic cells, wind turbines and other generators. Both XML (eXtensible Markup Language) documents and databases are supported for interchanging input data and results between Web servers and clients. The XML application to power system data is analyzed.
