Abstract
A new theory to design contiguous multiplexers with filters connected directly in series or parallel has been developed. It has no limitation on number of channels and gives almost ideal results without optimization, i.e. it is directly analytic. Extension to the manifold case has been attempted and very good results obtained. The theory leads to the realization of a new type of microwave component which may be termed a cascadable multiplexer.
