Abstract :
This paper presents a novel design rule description for automated layout tools, such as ALADIN, an analog layout design tool. This methodology is developed independently of a special technology to generate constructive description rules. The skill on the translation is explained in detail. By this method, complex design rules can automatically be fulfilled with the help of some additional layers. A graphical interface is developed in order to facilitate the analog designers to customize their design environment. The use of the technology independent module-generator, placer and router increases the design efficiency
