Abstract :
A planar lightwave circuit with a length-imbalanced Mach-Zehnder interferometer and an arrayed waveguide grating radiating into free-space generates nonlinearly spatially dispersed light. This arrangement is advantageous for mitigating mirror edge effect in MEMS-based components.
