Abstract :
This paper presents the analysis of automation hardware market, choosing and implementation of an optimal device to create remote supervision of workshops. An idea to create a remotely controllable workshop is not new, but the challenges with interaction scenarios between machines (CNC machines, industrial robots) and humans became more and more complex. Nowadays, industrial automation is mainly organized by microcontroller systems and the main disadvantages of such systems is focusing on specific tasks, needs of external personal computer and advanced level of user´s programming skills. Thus, the main aim of the research is to review the existing open source computing devices in order to find an optimal hardware to enable introduction of novel interaction methodologies such as cognitive info-communication through the services of iSpace.
