Abstract
The problem of distinguishability of state space model structures from input-output observations of the system is considered. We prove the proposition allowing to significantly simplify the system of algebraic equations solved in the symbolic form and, hence, to reduce the amount of required analytical computations. Two examples are given to illustrate the application of this approach
