Abstract
We report nearly transform limited output pulses of a 2R all-optical regenerator in single mode As2 Se3 chalcogenide glass fibre measured via frequency resolved optical gating (FROG). In addition, we show through simulations that this material has nearly ideal nonlinear characteristics for 2R regeneration - its moderate two-photon absorption actually enhancing device performance.
