Abstract :
The structure health monitoring (SHM) system based on wireless sensor network(WSN) is a hot research area. Unlike the random deployed method in WSN, the nodes are usually manually installed in the key parts of the buildings in SHM system. Taking this into consideration, we propose the MHop-CL routing protocol based on the node deployment information of the SHM system on ZhengDian Viaduct Bridge. MHop-CL groups the nodes into clusters in each span of the bridge and integrates the cluster technology into multi-hop routing. From simulation using TOSSIM, it shows that the MHop-CL is more energy efficient than the multi-hop protocol in TinyOS and balances the energy consumption.
