Abstract :
Over the last few years, earthquake emergencies have been among the most pervasive major disruptions in China. A key aspect of managing disasters involves logistical planning to facilitate the distribution and transportation of relief materials to populations in need. The purpose of this paper is to develop a spatial model for earthquake disaster relief materials distribution. The created model tracks the flow of materials shipments over networks from supply stations to people in need, as well as suggests locations for intermediate distribution stations where people may receive materials.
