Abstract :
An efficient and tunable mid-infrared source based on difference-frequency mixing in a periodically poled LiNbO3 crystal is demonstrated. The pump and signal used are a diode-injected Yb:fiber amplifier synchronized with a programmable Er:fiber laser.
