Abstract
In the recent years, the research investigated the development of the virtual museums in website and argued that it was crucial for the improvement of their usability and success of attracting more virtual visitors to centre the design process around users. The purpose of this study is to investigate the user-centered interface design process and the main design factors to evaluate the quality of interface design. Based on a small-scale survey of the leading virtual museum interfaces, the main factors involved in the interface design are identified. The user-centered approach is developed and implemented in a specific case that shows how these main factors help the interface designers accomplish and evaluate the project.
