            Abstract : 
This paper presents an original approach based on the design and application of a real time simulator for electrical drives fed by an inverter. The hardware and software structure are described in detail so as to underline the most critical aspects of such a system. A detailed analysis is dedicated to the problem of inverter interface and input signal decoding. The virtual interface for a man machine interface and its potentialities are presented
