Abstract :
A continuous spectrum covering ~1.9-4.5 microns with ~1.4W power beyond 3.8 microns (50% duty cycle) is generated in a Mid-Infrared Super-Continuum Laser. An optical conversion efficiency of ~9% is achieved from a thulium-doped power amplifier to the super-continuum.
