Abstract
A new tool for the simulation of interacting and multi-board controlled power electronic systems is presented. The C-written object-oriented tool, inspired by an Ansaldo Trasporti Napoli traction application, is executable in a Windows´95 environment on a standard PC. Each object is completely defined by its initialization and input, output and state variables. The whole system is constructed by linking the elementary objects. The simulation of the DSP-based boards allows checking of the control code by simulations and it guarantees its portability on the real-time board
