Abstract
Temporal profiles of satellite radiometric signals were simulated for an agricultural area, at field (SPOT HRV) and regional (NOAA AVHRR) scales, using a vegetation process model (AFRCWHEAT2) and a radiative transfer model (SAIL). Furthermore, the authors show that assimilation of real satellite observations in a crop model leads to improved simulation of vegetation functioning
