Abstract :
With the rapid development of modern society, the importance of graphics is constantly affirmed. Graphics is increasingly involved in human social life and ideology and has become a kind of cultural phenomenon and media that exchanges and communicates information and expresses feelings and awareness. As a pioneer of contemporary graphic design, during a thousands of years the folk patterns gradually has been developed into a unique free conversion system for the mutual translation of graphics-text, which provides a useful reference to the translation obstacles between oral language (speaking) and written language (painting) in the process of the graphic design. Based on the specific analysis of the text-graphics processing relationship in Chinese traditional folk patterns, this paper attempts to form the methods and inspiration that is practical and directive to graphic design.
