The Chu art forms are the materialization of the Chu people´s spiritual images. Chu artifacts, which are characterized by the mysterious imagination, romantic style and rich color, reflect the Chu people´s spiritual world. The research into the spiritual modes of the Chu people cannot be carried out without investigating the Chu-unique sorcery, polytheism, Taoism and Sao because they are the basic elements that constitute the Chu people´s spiritual culture. It is these basic elements that contributed to the formation of the primitive romantic style of Chu art.
