Abstract
An antenna array which consists of four identical graphene-based photoconductive antennas in a 2×2 configuration is investigated. The self impedance of each element and the mutual impedance between two elements of the antenna array are calculated using HFSS. Full-wave simulations show that the proposed structure has excellent properties such as frequency-reconfiguration as well as high input impedance leading to good direct matching with a photoconductive THz source. It is also shown that we can modify the directivity and the radiation pattern of the proposed structure by tuning the gate voltage on each antenna without any need to switches or phase shifters.
