Abstract
The impact of future battlefield environment on the ability to quickly repair and return critical systems to the fight is discussed. Design requirements offer the potential of reducing critical repair periods and significantly increasing the combat power available to the battlefield commander. A battlefield consideration of design criteria is discussed from the commander´s perspective
