Abstract
A method is described which the maintainability engineer can utilize computer-aided design (CAD) techniques to improve the timeliness of impacting system design. Design data can be captured as they are generated by design engineering, enabling the maintainability engineer to perform analyses early in the system design and satisfy contractual maintainability and testability requirements. Techniques are presented that can be utilized to assist the maintainability engineer to exercise the design information efficiently to perform both early and continuing analyses throughout the development of a system
