  • Abstract
With the emergence of electronic medical information, mobile health service has been becoming increasingly popular around the world. In order to understand factors affecting the acceptance of mobile health services, our study investigate determinants from perspective of service participants. Based on the technology acceptance model (TAM), this paper also provides a better understanding of antecedents of key acceptance constructs (e.g., perceived usefulness). During the research, the proposed research model and hypotheses were validated with data collected from a field survey of 492 subjects. The results reveal that: (1) while perceived easy of use significantly associates with perceived usefulness, the impact of perceived easy of use and perceived usefulness on adoption intention are insignificant. (2) Outcome quality is positively influences perceived usefulness; (3) Social norm is positively associated with adoption intention and perceived usefulness as well. Finally, the theoretical and practical implications and contributions of this study are discussed.
