Abstract :
Traffic engineering is an important topic of the IETF. The architecture is the foundation of further research of traffic engineering. We introduce the four components of traffic engineering and their functions. How to achieve the requirements of the four components is also considered. This paper gives a clear understanding of traffic engineering and its architecture
