Abstract
From the perspective of service-oriented government, examining the spatial and temporal characteristics of adjustment of public services expenditure, this paper has an empirical analysis on the synergistic impact of the size and structure of public services expenditure on economic growth and social equity. The study found that: increasing of public services expenditure does not bring the expected effects of economic growth and all members of society also does not have equitable access to benefit from economic growth; increasing general public services expenditure is not conducive not only to economic growth but also to social equity; basic public services expenditure plays an important role in promoting economic growth and also can significantly enhance the degree of social equity.
