Abstract
The paper discusses the OPC technology and it brings functions and benefits in monitoring system of the small AS/RS. As an example of the monitoring system of an airport catering company, the paper analyzes the way of data access in this monitoring system according to the typical data access method of OPC. The monitoring system adopts Siemens S7-300 PLC Ethernet communication module and OPC communication mode which the two are combined. The system brings the nether system into the Ethernet communication system which realizes the stability communication and data transmission between PC and PLC, thus to realizes real-time monitoring of monitored objects.
