Notice of Retraction

This paper analyzes the social life and cultural situation in Tang dynasty and explores the visual culture and design patterns of "The Analects Jade Candle" that is unearthed in Zhenjiang which is used to serve a round of liquor to guests. It elaborates the characteristics of visual patterns of "The Analects Jade Candle" through its three-dimensional shape and decorative patterns. Combining the main shape of tortoise and lotus of "The Analects jade candle" and the two problems related to that to analyze and probe the design culture, from which we get the reasons for the coexistence of three elements, which is the tortoise shape, the lotus and "The Analects of Confucius".
