In China, there exist “the ice fire two-fold day” phenomenon in the accountant job market, which means the isolation between accounting education and practice. Team-based project teaching which originated in 1980s in America, is especially introduced in this paper because it helps to improve communication skills, problem-solving ability and professional skills of students, and help them better adapt to social needs when they leave school. However, this new teaching also poses a challenge to both instructors and students. They might encounter a serial of problems at the different stage of applying team-based project teaching. Hence some beneficial suggestions are given focusing on the above problems.
