Abstract :
A new kind of CAD/CAM/CNC system for the large thin-walled part turning, expressed in spherical coordinate, is present to improve the efficiency and quality of part machining, based on the analysis on the original processing technic. Moreover, the system mechanism and the design thinking of hardware and software are also introduced. In this system, a B-spline model for thickness surface is set up based on spherical coordinates, the space spiral path generation method is planned, row spacing angle and interpolation algorithm are determined, and the method for velocity control and acceleration control is present.
