Abstract :
Using a novel approach, the scattering parameters and the equivalent networks of the asymmetric coupled lines in inhomogeneous medium under the most general condition are for the first time derived and presented. The analytical relationship and numerical results between the S-parameters and z-parameters have been approved. Based on the scattering parameters given, a Ku-band directional coupler composed of an asymmetric supported broadside coupled coplanar waveguide is designed
