Abstract :
This project aimed to build a prototype that enhances the capabilities of a solar panel by using a solar tracker and data logger. The solar panel was theoretically enhanced by positioning it perpendicular to the sun´s rays. This was accomplished by building a mounting for the solar panel that can be controlled by servo motors. Matlab programming was used to gather the data from the sensors and perform the appropriate motor action. The collected data will be presented to confirm the solar tracking function. It has shown than a solar panel with solar tracker system managed to harvest higher amount of voltages.
