Abstract
In this paper breakdown voltages of Gas Insulated Lines with SF6 /N2 gas mixtures as insulating medium in the presence of particle contaminations is determined by using Artificial Neural Network Approach. Aluminum, Copper and Silver are considered as conducting particle contaminations. During the study, various combinations of SF6 and N2 gas concentration in mixture are tried. Particles of various conducting material of radius 0.25 mm and length of 10 mm are floating in a GIL.
