Abstract :
This paper studies the Internet connectivity of mobile router (MR), which is equipped with WLAN, CDMA and GPRS interfaces simultaneously. Concretely, a smooth handover algorithm is proposed and experimented on our platform successfully; round trip time (RTT) of each link in handover process is analyzed, respectively. Furthermore, we also compare the performances between the MR in multiple interfaces scheme and uni-interfaced MR in NEMO basic support protocol, and results indicate that multi-interfaced scheme can not only provide seamless handovers without packet loss and little service disruption time. It can also support large area movement across heterogeneous networks.
