Abstract :
Based on the test about compression-rebound properties of material bed, there are three zones in roller mill. The movement of material bed between two rollers in roller mill has been analysed. The pressure distribution equations in every zone on the roller´s surface have been derived. The stress in roller is important for roller´s failure analysis and the life estimation. But it depends on load, structure parameters and material characteristics. Taking limestone as an example, equivalent stress distributions in radial, circumferential, axial direction are obtained by the finite element analysis. The maximum equivalent stress is at the point which is under the surface. In circumferential direction, equivalent stress reaches the maximum at ¿ = 0°. In axial direction, equivalent stress reaches the maximum at the middle of the roller. This study will be useful for further research on roller mill.
