Ideological and political theory teaching plays an irreplaceable role for undergraduate´s innovative ability cultivating. Based on systematical discussion for functions of ideological and political theory course to undergraduate´s innovative ability cultivating, the concrete analysis of five influencing factors in ideological and political theory teaching that restrains undergraduate´s innovative ability cultivating is made, some new thoughts are put forward, such as grasping the law of ideological and political theory teaching, promoting the reform of teaching contents, teaching methods, teaching means and examination methods, so as to advancing undergraduate´s innovative ability cultivating through ideological and political theory teaching.
