Abstract
This book provides an introduction to the processing chain of remote sensing imagery. All the different steps are covered, from the acquisition and the preparation of the data, to their use in several earth observation programs. The book is devoted to students, engineers and researches with background in applied mathematics or signal and image processing working in various fields of remote sensing. It gives a valuable overview of each specific themes and endows various references letting interested reader deepen his knowledge. The book was edited by Florence Tupin, Jordi Inglada and Jean-Marie Nicolas that are well known in the GRSS community. It consists on contributions from many french researchers, that are recognized experts in their fields. Two version of the book are proposed, one written in English and one written in French.
